2004.5–2005 Duramax LLY DSP5 Shift on the Fly Switch

Easily switch between your EFILive DSP5 tune files while driving with this DSP5 Shift on the Fly (SOTF) Switch for 2004.5–2005 LLY Duramax trucks.

This switch allows you to change between up to five custom EFILive calibrations without stopping to reflash your ECM. Whether you're towing, commuting, or looking for maximum performance, you can instantly select the tune that best fits your driving conditions with the turn of a knob.

Designed specifically for the 2004.5–2005 LLY Duramax, this switch installs directly into the ECM wiring harness and works seamlessly with EFILive DSP5 custom tuning.

Custom DSP5 tuning is required. This switch does not include tuning files.

Installation Instructions

FT DSP5 LLY (Purple/Black)

1. Disconnect both negative battery cables.
2. Locate the Engine Control Module (ECM).
3. Disconnect the bottom (Gray) ECM connector.
4. Remove the connector lock and access the rear of the connector.
5. Install the two supplied terminals (Purple and Black) into the following locations:
   • Gray Connector – Pin 32
   • Gray Connector – Pin 50
6. It does not matter which switch wire is installed into Pin 32 or Pin 50, as one connection is the signal and the other is ground.
7. Reassemble the connector and reconnect it to the ECM.
8. Route the switch wiring through the firewall, keeping it away from moving parts and excessive heat.
9. Mount the switch in your desired dash location.
10. Reconnect the batteries.

Verify Installation

1. Turn the ignition to the ON position (the engine does not need to be running).
2. Press the small test button on the back of the switch.
3. If an LED illuminates, the switch is wired correctly. If no LED illuminates, verify that the terminals are fully seated in Gray Connector Pins 32 and 50.

Important Information

• This switch requires EFILive DSP5 tuning.
• No tune files are included.
• Professional installation is recommended if you are unfamiliar with automotive electrical wiring.
